Colectiva Agroecológica de Masificación y Unidad
Food Sovereignty, Political Education, and Territorial Defense
We foster the exchange of agroecological knowledge and critical pedagogical spaces to produce food and to organize ourselves in defense of our land.
Agroecology is Political and Transformative
We understand agroecology not only as an agricultural practice, but as a collective political process that brings together community organizing, popular education, the revival of traditional peasant knowledge, decolonization, and the defense of territory and life, with the aim of transforming the power relations and structures of the hegemonic agri-food system.
Our Work
We are a grassroots collective based in the western and southern regions of Puerto Rico that seeks to promote and advance agroecological education through a practical, political, and intersectional approach, with the aim of strengthening food sovereignty, the social fabric of our communities, and the defense of our land, while also building and expanding networks within the local and global agri-food movement.
